Explore the platform featuresSetup and costs to budget separately
- One-time app deployment and setup: $500 USD. This fee is separate from the monthly plan and is not waived by annual prepayment.
- Optional Branded Ops: $299 USD per month. Your partner app and operator dashboard in your name rather than ours — the same apps your merchants and dispatchers already use, fully branded.
- Annual prepayment discounts the subscription by 10%; per-order overage is not discounted. At 100,000+ monthly orders, request an Enterprise quote.
- Payment processing, delivery-provider fees, messaging usage, hardware, developer-account charges where applicable and taxes are separate. Confirm any custom integration scope in your quote.
Planning your launch in Japan
Review Japanese content and yen-denominated order flows
Build the budget for a marketplace in Japan using the published USD order plans. Customer payments in JPY and merchant settlements are separate decisions. Review the local requirements below alongside dispatch, merchant onboarding and the monthly order forecast.
Japanese menu and address inputs
Test Japanese text, menu modifiers and the address fields your customers will use. Include building and unit details and have a fluent reviewer check checkout messages and order notifications.
Local payment expectations
List the local wallets or other payment methods your buyers require and validate each on the deployed integration. Do not infer support for every Japanese method from a general Stripe integration.
Yen amounts and receipt output
Use sample whole-yen prices, discounts and refunds during testing. Bring your required receipt and tax presentation for review, including how the configured system rounds order totals. For a marketplace, also confirm who owns each receipt, refund and merchant payout; the SuperApp subscription remains billed in USD.

Before you go live
A marketplace launch checklist for Japan
Six things to settle at the demo and test before the first live order, drawn from how customers in Japan pay, order and expect to be kept informed.
-
Run one order end to end on each live payment path (Stripe, Stripe Terminal, Cash, card on delivery, card terminal) — success, decline and refund.
-
Name the on-request integrations your customers expect at the demo — PayPay, Konbini payment, LINE messaging — so the quote carries their scope and timeline.
-
Enable the storefront languages customers need (Japanese) with reviewed translations.
-
Route order updates where customers read them (LINE and email) and send a test message before launch.
-
Decide the delivery model — Uber Direct, Shipday, Google Maps — and test a real address, a delivery zone edge and a cash-on-delivery reconciliation.
-
Bring your receipt and tax requirements to the demo; the subscription does not set them. Position against Uber Eats, Demae-can and Wolt with your own channel’s zero commission.

Pricing questions for Japan
How much does SuperApp cost in Japan?
SuperApp pricing for Japan starts at $99 USD per month with 500 orders included. All platform fees are billed in USD, including setup and order overage.
How is monthly order overage calculated?
For your chosen plan, subtract its included orders from the month’s order count. Only a positive remainder is multiplied by that plan’s per-order rate and added to the base subscription.
Are setup and branding included in the monthly price?
One-time setup is $500 USD. Customer-app branding is included in the plans; Branded Ops, for partner-app and operator-dashboard branding, costs an additional $299 USD per month.
How should a marketplace in Japan budget its local payment setup?
Use the published USD subscription and overage rates for the software budget. Then confirm JPY checkout, merchant settlement and each required payment method in the deployment scope. Processor fees and any additional integration work are separate; local currency does not guarantee a payment method is implemented.
Which payment methods can SuperApp take in Japan?
Live today: Stripe, Stripe Terminal, Cash, card on delivery, card terminal. Built on request: PayPay, Konbini payment. On-request integrations are scoped and given a timeline in your quote before launch, so name the methods your customers use at the demo.
What should a Japan marketplace check for yen-based orders?
Trace whole-yen prices, merchant fees, discounts and refunds through the selected payment integration. Review Japanese catalog and address content separately. JPY customer orders do not change the published USD SuperApp subscription.
