Setup and costs to budget separately

  • One-time app deployment and setup: $500 USD. This fee is separate from the monthly plan and is not waived by annual prepayment.
  • Optional Branded Ops: $299 USD per month. Your partner app and operator dashboard in your name rather than ours — the same apps your merchants and dispatchers already use, fully branded.
  • Annual prepayment discounts the subscription by 10%; per-order overage is not discounted. At 100,000+ monthly orders, request an Enterprise quote.
  • Payment processing, delivery-provider fees, messaging usage, hardware, developer-account charges where applicable and taxes are separate. Confirm any custom integration scope in your quote.

Planning your launch in Kenya

Mobile money is scoped work, not a subscription feature

Plan a Kenyan marketplace with a USD platform budget and KES customer payments modelled separately. Pool monthly orders across merchants to choose the plan, then scope mobile money before merchant onboarding.

M-Pesa is not in the published integrations

Safaricom’s Daraja portal documents M-Pesa APIs a marketplace would integrate directly. M-Pesa is not in SuperApp’s published integration list; scope it as separate work and confirm the settlement and refund model.

Cards, cash and reconciliation

Confirm card checkout on the implemented integration and test driver cash collection, reconciliation and a failed payment in the demo.

KES orders, USD subscription

Customer order currency and the platform bill are separate. KES orders do not change the published USD plans; budget conversion on the platform invoice separately.

The stack we recommend

Best-fit integrations for a marketplace in Kenya

The payment methods, couriers, messaging and POS that fit how customers in Kenya actually order. Live means it is on the published integrations list today. On request means we build it for you: name it at the demo and your quote confirms the scope and timeline before launch. The in-store suite — POS register, kitchen display, kiosk and loyalty tablet — is included and needs none of them.

Payments

  • On request M-Pesa — The payment method; an order flow without it is not Kenyan.
  • On request Pesapal / DPO — Local gateways carrying M-Pesa and cards.
  • Live Cash, card on delivery, card terminal — Live everywhere; test these first, no processor eligibility involved.

Delivery and dispatch

  • Live Shipday — Driver app and dispatch for your own drivers.
  • Live Google Maps — Addresses, delivery zones and live driver tracking.

Messaging

  • Live Twilio — SMS and WhatsApp order updates; WhatsApp is the channel customers here read.
  • Live SendGrid — Email receipts and campaigns, or your own SMTP.
  • Live OneSignal — Push notifications in the branded apps.

Before you go live

A marketplace launch checklist for Kenya

Six things to settle at the demo and test before the first live order, drawn from how customers in Kenya pay, order and expect to be kept informed.

  1. Run one order end to end on each live payment path (Cash, card on delivery, card terminal) — success, decline and refund.

  2. Name the on-request integrations your customers expect at the demo — M-Pesa, Pesapal / DPO — so the quote carries their scope and timeline.

  3. Enable the storefront languages customers need (English and Swahili) with reviewed translations.

  4. Route order updates where customers read them (WhatsApp and SMS) and send a test message before launch.

  5. Decide the delivery model — Shipday, Google Maps — and test a real address, a delivery zone edge and a cash-on-delivery reconciliation.

  6. Bring your receipt and tax requirements to the demo; the subscription does not set them. Position against Glovo, Uber Eats and Bolt Food with your own channel’s zero commission.

Pricing questions for Kenya

How much does SuperApp cost in Kenya?

SuperApp pricing for Kenya starts at $99 USD per month with 500 orders included. All platform fees are billed in USD, including setup and order overage.

How is monthly order overage calculated?

For your chosen plan, subtract its included orders from the month’s order count. Only a positive remainder is multiplied by that plan’s per-order rate and added to the base subscription.

Are setup and branding included in the monthly price?

One-time setup is $500 USD. Customer-app branding is included in the plans; Branded Ops, for partner-app and operator-dashboard branding, costs an additional $299 USD per month.

Does SuperApp publish a KES price?

No. Platform plans, setup and overage are billed in USD everywhere. Your customers can pay in KES through your payment integration; conversion and processing costs sit with your processor, not the subscription.

Which payment methods can SuperApp take in Kenya?

Live today: Cash, card on delivery, card terminal. Built on request: M-Pesa, Pesapal / DPO. On-request integrations are scoped and given a timeline in your quote before launch, so name the methods your customers use at the demo.

What should a Kenyan marketplace confirm before launch?

Whether M-Pesa is scoped, the card methods on the implemented checkout, cash reconciliation, refunds, merchant payout timing and messaging costs. Budget the USD platform invoice separately from KES settlement.
